PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB PRESENTS THE $20,000 GALLAGHER / KINNAIRD PUPPY STAKES CHAMPIONSHIP, MONDAY AFTERNOON, SEPTEMBER 4!
COME ON OUT AND JOIN IN ALL THE LABOR DAY FUN AND FESTIVITIES!
West Palm Beach, Fl. – Palm Beach Kennel Club kicks off its 2017/18 stake racing season Monday afternoon, September 4, Labor Day, with the twentieth running of the $20,000 Gallagher / Kinnaird Puppy Stakes.
Eight of the track’s fastest rising young superstars will take to the oval in Monday afternoon’s twelfth race, all going for the honor of being recognized as the summer racing season’s top pup.
This year’s final field features the best of our young super-early speedsters and the finest of the late-kick athletes.
The likely post-time favorite will be Rader Racing Kennel’s Noteworthy Starz who was the leading point-earner in qualifying, scoring two victories and two second-place finishes.
Two other finalists to keep an eye on due to fantastic post positons include K’s Bonnie and Jim Neidhart.
The eight youngsters going for the gold Labor Day afternoon:
- K’s Bonnie (Pat C Sabbath – Bow Chicabow Wow, Brindle Kennel)
- Noteworthy Starz (Barcelona Boss – Kiowa Starz Sage, Rader Racing)
- Tip Top (Barcelona Boss – Kiowa Starz Sage, Rader Racing)
- Mike Smith (Maxasaurus – Kiowa Frank Lazy, James Douglas)
- Kiowa Sure Task (Sure As – Kiowa Wildbraves, Rader Racing)
- Exemplary Queen (Barcelona Boss – Kiowa Starz Sage, Rader Racing)
- Burnin It Up (Pat C Clement – Keen Katy, Arthur Agganis Kennel)
- Jim Neidhart (Djays Octane – Audra Barkley, Brindle Kennel)
Gates open Monday afternoon at 11:30 a.m., post time for the first race is 1:00 p.m. and approximate post for the $20,000 Gallagher / Kinnaird Puppy Stakes is 4:00 p.m.
Formerly known as the Labor Day Puppy Stakes, this marks the ninth year of its’ new incarnation, named in memory of two Palm Beach County legendary sportscasters, and great friends of the Palm Beach Kennel Club, Jim Gallagher and Buck Kinnaird.
Overall, this is the twentieth running of our Labor Day Puppy Stakes.
