BUG BRUSH INSTALLED AS MORNING-LINE FAVORITE!

THE FINAL OF THE PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB $100,000 LEGACY GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP, SATURDAY EVENING, DECEMBER 12!

West Palm Beach, Fl. – After an unprecedented six-rounds of qualifying, the final eight Greyhounds have been determined and post positions selected for the running of Palm Beach Kennel Club’s biggest in-house stake race in the track’s 88-year history, the $100,000 Legacy Grand Championship on Saturday evening, December 12.

Leading the Legacy finalists by points is Lester Raines Kennel’s superstar, and winner of last month’s $50,000 Arthur J. Rooney, Sr. St. Patrick’s Invitational Bug Brush.

Bug Brush earned 80 points in qualifying scoring four wins and two second-place finishes.

There is little doubt Bug Brush will be going off as the $100,000 Legacy Grand Championship favorite. But as with any Greyhound race, surprises happen.

Possible challenges to Bug Brush will come with the other early speed Legacy finalists, led by the second-place leading point earner, Jax Blow Pop, who earned two wins, two seconds and one third-place finish in qualifying. They have had two lifetime meetings, with the scored tied at one win each.

Other fleet-pawed $100,000 Legacy Grand Championship finalist who could be in the mix with a favorable post position include Thrill U, Opal Long, Superior Piper, Old Town Road and Abbi’s Frontman. That’s a lot of early speed packed into such a critical event!

The lone $100,000 Legacy Grand Championship finalist known for her outstanding late speed is B’s Americano. If there is any trouble with the early speedsters experiencing early traffic issues, Americano will be right there to take advantage of it.

In the $100,000 Legacy Grand Championship final, the Janie Carroll Kennel will have three finalists (Old Town Road, Abbi’s Frontman and B’s Americano), the D. Q. Williams Kennel have two (Jax Blow Pop and Thrill U) and one finalist each for Lester Raines (Bug Brush), Rader Racing (Opal Long) and B & B Racing (Superior Piper).

The $100,000 Legacy Grand Championship finalists will meet in Saturday evening’s sixth race, all going for the $50,000 first-place prize.

The eight 2020 Palm Beach Kennel Club $100,000 Legacy Grand Championship finalists, in order of points scored / tie breakers:
