Event #8 of the Palm Beach Poker Classic was a fun and competitive day for our seniors. The rules stated that you had to be 50 or older to compete. It was a wonderful showing with 95 entrants. Everyone had a great day except for the 46 year old guy we had to disqualify.

The tournament featured a lot of familiar faces including Judson Bennett, Marty Robbins, Michael O’Brien, Nick Visconti, James Cariseo and John Degrace. These are guys that don’t hang out at the shuffle board courts; these guys are tournaments players! The eventual winner was David James Bleau of Ishpeming, MI, who walked away with the $2800 top prize.

Rounding out the top 5 were Timothy Flatt $1727, Michael O’Brien $1229, Scott Dwyer $893 and Marty Robbins $662.
