SUPER SENSATION TIP TOP GOES FOR SIXTEEN-CONSECUTIVE WINS!

West Palm Beach, Fl. – Round one qualifying action for what should be a historic $50,000 He’s My Man Classic gets underway Wednesday afternoon, January 10, at Palm Beach Kennel Club.

The same 56 Greyhounds will return to compete in round two, Saturday afternoon, January 13.

Following the second round, two dozen entries will be return to their respective Grade class, with only the top 32 remaining for the third round being contested Wednesday afternoon, January 17.

The top 16 point earners from the third round will move on to the semifinals on Sunday afternoon, January 21.

The final eight will comprise the field for the $50,000 He’s My Man Classic which will be run Saturday afternoon, January 27.

Qualifying will be contested in races 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14 and 15.

Some fan favorites for the first round of qualifying include:

Race 4: This qualifier certainly has some talented Greyhounds entered, including a finalist in last month’s $20,000 Dick Andrews Futurity and a well-positioned #1 Rail Defender (Stealintheshow – Shot At The Wire, Janie Carroll Kennel) and the crafty veteran #8 SE’s Cool Kate (Flying Coal City – As She Is Basra, Rader Racing). Also in the mix and going for his sixth-straight win, #4 JT’s In The Bank (Pat C Sabbath – Julianne Hough, Koppe, Staats & Collins Kennel).

Race 6: This event is chalk full of stake race winners and finalists. Racing fans will likely be favoring the always-trying #4 Dutch Secret (BD’s Grayson – Dutch Dimple, Lester Raines Kennel) and #6 CRT Nice Mike (Dragon Fire – Gameboy Bambi, Janie Carroll). And one cannot leave out of their selections stake finalist and fan favorite #8 “Clifford” Big Red Dog (Rhythmless – KB’s La Bella, Rader Racing).

Race 8: Without a doubt, race fans will be flocking to the windows and their mobile devices to wager on the very well-posted finalist from last month’s $20,000 Dick Andrews Futurity, #8 JT’s Blindnspeed (Pat C Sabbath – Julianne Hough, Koppe, Staats & Collins).

Race 10: This qualifier features the best of the early and late speed Classic entries. Competing for the fleet-pawed racing fans is stake finalist #4 JSK Lubbock (Atascocita Gray – JSK I Love Lucy, B & B Racing Kennel), who has finished in the quiniela in 14 of his 15 career races. Fans liking late speed will most likely support another stakes finalist, #6 Top Notch (Barcelona Boss – Kiowa Starz Sage, Rader Racing) who is getting the hang of competing on the 545-Yard Royal Palm Course and getting more track savvy with each and every start.

Race 12: A trio of Greyhounds look to have a nice opportunity to earn some high early qualifying points, including the well-positioned #1 Blackjack Rolo (Djays Octane – Blackjack Ignite, James Douglas Kennel), the always-trying #3 SG’s Tim Raines (Djays Octane – Go Bon Trashtalk, Janie Carroll) and last month’s winner of the $20,000 Dick Andrews Futurity, #6 Eyesappealing (Barcia Bale – Goldilocks, Lester Raines).

Race 14: The most likely post time favorites look to be the strong-running veteran stake finalist #4 Hot Prospect Gal (Last Outlaw – Flaring Fiesta, Arthur Agganis Kennel) and one of favorites in last month’s $20,000 Dick Andrews Futurity, going undefeated through four qualifying rounds, #6 Grand Azul (Barcelona Boss – Kiowa Starz Sage, Rader Racing).

The fifteenth and final race is the “topper” of the afternoon as puppy sensation #3 Tip Top (Barcelona Boss – Kiowa Starz Sage, Rader Racing) goes for his sixteenth-consecutive victory. And it looks like he should have the early racing room to do it. Tip Top is in fourth-place on Palm Beach Kennel Club’s All-Time Consecutive Win List, behind Pat C Rendezvous (36), Ozzie The Man (26) and Izz A Champ (21).

The $50,000 He’s My Man Classic is the first event in Palm Beach Kennel Club’s $150,000 “Big 3″ Stakes series, which includes the $50,000 James W. Paul 3/8ths Mile Derby (Saturday afternoon, February 24) and the $50,000 Arthur J. Rooney, Sr. St. Patrick’s Invitational (Saturday afternoon, March 17).

The Classic is named for Palm Beach Kennel Club racing legend and the track’s first multimedia sensation He’s My Man and dedicated to the man who raised and trained “Roscoe”, Bill Pappas.
