Bad Beat Jackpot Hit For $140,194!

BAD BEAT JACKPOT HIT AT PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB!

Jackpot of $280,383 Won!

“Losing” Player Collects $140,194!

West Palm Beach, FL – Lucky table 3 in the Poker Room at Palm Beach Kennel Club was the place to be at 9:50pm Friday evening, August 4, 2017. Eight excited players took a piece of the $280,383 Bad Beat jackpot, and the lucky “losing” poker hand paid off a life-changing $140,194.

PBKC’s rules state that if a player who has at least four 10s loses, to a better hand, that loser gets half the Bad Beat jackpot.  The winner of the hand gets 25 percent, and those sitting at the table split the remaining 25 percent.  The “losing” hand received $140,194; the actual winning hand collected $70,097 and the other six players took home $11,682 just for playing at the winning table.

Belinda Trevino dealt the hand in 2-4 Limit Hold’em, a poker game where each player holds two cards of their own and share five community cards. The “loser” of the hand, Eddie Prise of West Palm Beach, Fl., wound up with 23456 of Hearts, while the “winner” Catherine Rosendary of Riviera Beach, Fl. had QQQQ6.

“I could hear some exciting commotion coming from the Poker Room”, said Assistant Manager Josh Alderson. “Everyone was applauding and congratulating the winners. It’s always nice to see a roomful of happy players!”

The last Bad Beat Jackpot hit was this past March 4, when a player collected a nice $60,160 from a total jackpot of $120,321.

Palm Beach Kennel Club’s Poker Room is home of the record-breaking south Florida Bad Beat Jackpot of $504,833 (paid out 9/23/12).
