“Losing” Hand Player Collects $28,927!

West Palm Beach, FL – Table 23 in the Poker Room in the Poker Room at PBKC was the place to be Saturday morning, July 9, 2022, as eight excited players took home a piece of the $57,849 Bad Beat jackpot, with the lucky “losing” poker hand paying off a hefty $28,927.

PBKC rules state that if a player who has at least four 10s loses, to a better hand, that loser gets half the Bad Beat jackpot. The winner of the hand gets 25 percent, and those sitting at the table split the remaining 25 percent. The “losing” hand received $28,927; the actual winning hand collected $14,462 and the other six players each took home a table share of $2,410 just for playing at the right place at the right time.

Patrick Tiller dealt the hand in a game of Straight 2. The “loser” of the hand, William Globokar of West Palm Beach was dealt 6789T Hearts, while the “winning hand” of 89TJQ Hearts held by Jean King of Singer Island, Fla.

The Bad Beat Jackpot was last hit on June 7 of this year with $89,885 going to the “losing hand” holder.

PBKC’s Poker Room is home of the record-setting south Florida Bad Beat Jackpot of $504,833 (paid out 9/23/12).
