EVENT #1 OF THE PALM BEACH POKER CLASSIC IS IN THE BOOKS! AND IT’S A STORY THAT ALMOST DIDN’T HAPPEN.
We have a winner in Event #1 of the Palm Beach Poker Classic! Mike Wojcieszek of Palm Beach Gardens, FL walks away with $10,958 and the Trophy after a 3 way chop. Mike was sitting at a cash table downstairs yesterday when someone asked him if he played tournaments, he’d totally forgotten about the PBPC, he got upstairs in time for late registration, and the rest is history. He left last night around 2:30am with the chip lead at 2,270,00, got an hour of sleep, went to work this morning and got back here in time to best the final table. Mike, originally from South Windsor, CT is an avid golfer and plays poker in his spare time.
The rest of the final table consisted of Tom Kayler $6775 who was 2nd, Jeff Charlton $4931 in 3rd, Courtney Rowe $3647 in 4th, Andre Bryan $2739 finished 5th, Joe Massaro $2080 6th and Terrance Bradwell $1618 in 7th. These 7 players bested a field of 226 entrants! A wonderful start to the Palm Beach Poker Classic, now through March 28.
Also, congrats to Miguel Arteaga of Lake Worth, Fl who won PBPC Event #2 last night!
