PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB PRESENTS THE

$20,000 GALLAGHER / KINNAIRD PUPPY STAKES CHAMPIONSHIP, MONDAY AFTERNOON,

LABOR SEPTEMBER 3! 

COME ON OUT AND JOIN IN ALL THE LABOR DAY FUN AND FESTIVITIES!

          West Palm Beach, Fl. – Palm Beach Kennel Club kicks off its 2018/19 stake racing season Monday afternoon, September 3, Labor Day, with the twenty-first running of the $20,000 Gallagher / Kinnaird Puppy Stakes.

Eight of the track’s fastest rising young superstars will take to the oval in Monday afternoon’s twelfth race, all going for the honor of being recognized as the summer racing season’s top pup.

This year’s final field features the best of our young super-early speedsters and the finest of the late-kick athletes.

This is such an evenly matched final, it’s hard to determine who the post time favorite will be.

We have the early speedsters Open Throttle, O Ya By Favre, Gloom N Doom and O Ya Pawsome. And then we offer you the tremendous first-turn rushers in the sleek forms of Figfin Dancer and Kenny Rogers. And don’t forget the two finalists who drew the best post positions, Seize Tight and Atascocita Morse.

The eight youngsters going for the gold Labor Day afternoon:

  6. Gloom N Doom (Who Says I Can’t – Damesihave Loved, D. Q. Williams)
  7. O Ya Pawsome (Defrim Bale* – O Ya Jennifer, Lester Raines Kennel)
  8. Atascocita Morse (Atascocita Gray – Atascocita Kado, Suncoast Kennel)

Gates open Monday afternoon at 11:30 a.m., post time for the first race is 1:00 p.m. and approximate post for the $20,000 Gallagher / Kinnaird Puppy Stakes is 4:00 p.m.

Formerly known as the Labor Day Puppy Stakes, this marks the tenth year of its’ new incarnation, named in memory of two Palm Beach County legendary sportscasters, and great friends of the Palm Beach Kennel Club, Jim Gallagher and Buck Kinnaird.

Overall, this is the twenty-first running of our Labor Day Puppy Stakes.

Other scheduled activities on this fun-filled family-oriented afternoon include:

* Gary Hodges will perform our National Anthem! (12:00 p.m.)

* Track Walk for Greyhound Adoption! For a donation of only $25, receive your Greyhound Adoption T-Shirt, with all donations going to local Greyhound Adoption Agencies!

* $5,000 Guaranteed Pick 4!
