BAD BEAT JACKPOT HIT AT PBKC!
Jackpot of $179,777 Won!
“Losing” Hand Player Collects $89,885!
West Palm Beach, FL – Table 18 in the Poker Room in the Poker Room at PBKC was the place to be in the wee hours of early morning hours of June 7, 2022. Eight excited players took home a piece of the $179,777 Bad Beat jackpot, and the lucky “losing” poker hand paid off a life-changing $89,885.
PBKC rules state that if a player who has at least four 10s loses, to a better hand, that loser gets half the Bad Beat jackpot. The winner of the hand gets 25 percent, and those sitting at the table split the remaining 25 percent. The “losing” hand received $89,885; the actual winning hand collected $44,940 and the other six players each took home a table share of $7,492 just for playing at the right place at the right time.
Stephanie Vassallo dealt the hand in 2-5 No-Limit, a poker game where each player holds two cards of their own and share five community cards. The “loser” of the hand, Anthony Manceri of Amity Harbor, New York, held KKKK9, while the “winner” Gary Levinger of Wellington, Florida had Straight Flush King Spades.
The funny thing is that hand “winner” Gary did not even realize at first that it was a bad beat. Once all the table players realized what had just happened, pandemonium broke loose. Tips for Poker Room employees were plentiful, and all went home with a remarkable story to tell, along with some bountiful cash.
PBKC’s Poker Room is home of the record-setting south Florida Bad Beat Jackpot of $504,833 (paid out 9/23/12).
