ROUND ONE QUALIFYING FOR PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB’S $20,000 DICK ANDREWS FUTURITY,
SATURDAY AFTERNOON, DECEMBER 8!
West Palm Beach, Fl. – Round-one qualifying action for Palm Beach Kennel Club’s $20,000 Dick Andrews Futurity gets underway Saturday afternoon, December 8.
Thirty-two of the track’s most outstanding up-and-coming young racing stars will go to post in four qualifying events.
The same 32 youngsters will return for rounds two and three on Wednesday afternoon, December 12 and Saturday afternoon, December 15, respectively.
Following the third round, the top 16-point earners will advance to the semifinals, Wednesday afternoon, December 19.
The finale of the $20,000 Dick Andrews Futurity will be contested Wednesday afternoon, December 26.
Likely fan round-one favorites include:
Race 10 offers us a nice four-Greyhound wagering box via the well-positioned #1 PJ Distorted (KC And All – Kelsos Jenna, Arthur Agganis Kennel), #2 Superior Candi (Last Outlaw – Superior Cinch, (B & B Racing Kennel) who will be going for her fifth-consecutive career victory, the early speedster #3 Me No Care (Coldwater Keelin – Royal Mosaic, Rader Racing Kennel) and the strong first-turn rusher and closer #5 Turbo Tobi (U Too Pure Silk – TB’s Torque, Rader Racing).
Class should be the ruling factor in Race 12 as two Greyhounds have Grade A racing lines showing on the program page, #1 PJ Soul Survivor (DJ’s Octane – Blackjack Ignite, Rader Racing) and #3 Bartsbitethedust (Trent Lee – Barts Stars, James Douglas Kennel).
Early speed looks to be the solution in qualifying Race 14 as #1 XKT Stubby (KC And All – XKT Shelly Turin, Koppe, Staats & Collins Kennel) and #8 Jackrabbit Slim (Gable Sour Cream – Mavericks Penny, Rader Racing) will be battling for the early advantage and the win.
And wrapping up the afternoon in Race 15, all eyes will be on the steadily-improving and strong-closing #5 Duxbury (Pat C Clement – WW Lonesome Dove, Rader Racing) who will be going for her fourth-consecutive victory.
Post time for the first race Wednesday afternoon is 1:00 p.m.
The Futurity is named in honor of former PBKC kennel operator, humanitarian and 2004 inductee to the Greyhound Hall of Fame Dick Andrews.
