RF OKA REMAINS UNDEFEATED GOING INTO ROUND 3 OF PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB’S $20,000 DICK ANDREWS FUTURITY, SUNDAY AFTERNOON, DECEMBER 15!
West Palm Beach, Fl. – Qualifying for Palm Beach Kennel Club’s $20,000 Dick Andrews Futurity continues with third-round action Sunday afternoon, December 15.
After two rounds and 8 qualifying races, B & B Racing Kennel’s RF Oka will enter round three as the only undefeated Futurity entry.
A quick go-over of Sunday afternoon’s third round of qualifying:
In Race 10, one of the pre-championship favorites, #7 Buyusumnewshoes (Superior Panama – Joy Giovanni, Rader Racing Kennel) looks to be the post time favorite. Once again, he will have to pass some strong first-turn rushers in the sleek forms of #2 Sassy N Trashy, Lenson Sanchez* – PJ Not For Long, Janie Carroll) and #5 Skiddy Hotrod (Dutch Magic – Skiddy Flicker, Lester Raines).
Race 14 highlights the ever-improving #3 August Dawn (Kinda Cruel Red – SG’s Phil Niekro, Rader Racing). Both his qualifying events, including a victory in round two, have been very, very strong races. The one to beat!
Race 15 features the only undefeated entry, #3 RF Oka (Chasmo’s Dutch – Superior Megryan, B & B Racing). Other entries that could challenge Oka include the well-positioned #1 Skiddy Hustler (Dutch Magic – Skiddy Flicker, Lester Raines), the ever-improving #7 Dennis Moment (Kinda Cruel Red – SG’s Phil Niekro, Rader Racing) and the well-positioned early speedster #8 Pasquales Violet (WW Time Warp – Lets Go Flying, Janie Carroll.
A third-round qualifier will also be held in Race 12.
The top 16-point earners following the third round will advance to the Futurity semifinals slated for Friday afternoon, December 20.
The $20,000 Dick Andrews Futurity championship final will be contested Thursday afternoon, December 26.
Post time for the first race Sunday afternoon is 1:00 p.m. with gates opening at 11:30 a.m.
The Futurity is named in honor of former PBKC kennel operator, humanitarian and 2004 inductee to the Greyhound Hall of Fame Dick Andrews.
