Round Three Qualifying for the $20,000 Gallagher/Kinnaird Puppy Stakes, Wednesday Afternoon, August 22!

ROUND THREE QUALIFYING FOR PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB’S $20,000 GALLAGHER / KINNAIRD LABOR DAY PUPPY STAKES, WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, AUGUST 22!

            West Palm Beach, Fl. – Qualifying for Palm Beach Kennel Club’s $20,000 Gallagher / Kinnaird Puppy Stakes continues with third-round action Wednesday afternoon, August 22.

After two rounds and ten qualifying races, there are three entries who will attempt to enter the semifinals undefeated, Janie Carroll Kennel’s Figfin Dancer (KC And All – SE’s Fig Time), Lester Raines Kennel’s O Ya By Favre (Defrim Bale* – O Ya Jennifer) and DQ Williams Kennel’s Gloom N Doom (Who Says I Can’t – Damesihave Loved).

In Race 12, #6 Figfin Dancer will put her qualifying win streak on the line against possible threats #1 Twitter Feed (U Too Pure Silk – Blackjack Lola, Arthur Agganis Kennel) and #5 Seize Tight (KC And All – Ennis Siege, Lester Raines). A longshot selection in this event is #4 Pearls Blue Bell (Gable Sour Cream – Sabrina, B & B Racing), who is coming off a very strong second-place finish in round two.

The pre-championship favorite will be competing in Race 14 Wednesday afternoon, “The Gunslinger” O Ya By Favre. Favre looks to be three-for-three entering the semifinals.

The final qualifier of the afternoon in Race 15 features the fleet-footed and well-posted #1 Gloom N Doom. Potential challenges could come from the well-positioned #3 Windy Tamara (Superior Panama – Windy Dana, Janie Carroll) and #7 JS Virginia Woof (Pat C Clement – JS Tinker Belle, Koppe, Staats & Collins Kennel).

Third-round qualifiers will also be held in races 8 and 10.

The top 16-point earners following round three will advance to the Puppy Stakes semifinals slated for Monday afternoon, August 27.

The $20,000 Gallagher / Kinnaird Puppy Stakes championship final will be contested Monday afternoon, September 3, Labor Day.

Post time for the first race Wednesday afternoon is 1:00 p.m. with gates opening at 11:30 a.m.

Formerly known as the Labor Day Puppy Stakes, this marks the tenth year of its’ new moniker, named in memory of two Palm Beach County legendary sportscasters, and great friends of Palm Beach Kennel Club, Jim Gallagher and Buck Kinnaird.
