ROUND TWO QUALIFYING FOR PALM BEACH KENNEL CLUB’S $20,000 DICK ANDREWS FUTURITY, SATURDAY AFTERNOON, DECEMBER 9!

West Palm Beach, Fl. – Qualifying for Palm Beach Kennel Club’s $20,000 Dick Andrews Futurity continues with second-round action Saturday afternoon, December 9.

All 48 the Futurity entries from round one will compete Saturday afternoon, with the top 32 point earners advancing to round three, Wednesday afternoon, December 13.

The top 16 point earners from the third round will advance to the Futurity semifinals, Monday afternoon, December 18.

The $20,000 Dick Andrews Futurity championship final will be contested Tuesday afternoon, December 26.

Featured races include:

Race 6 has no round-one winners featured, but without a doubt, the race favorite looks to be the early-speed bomb #1 BF Par Slim (Super Lee – BF Flying Grace, Royal Racing Team).

In Race 8, racing fans will flock to the mutual windows and their phones to make #8 Grand Azul (Barcelona Boss – Kiowa Starz Sage, Rader Racing Kennel) the wagering favorite. Not only did he draw the best possible post position, but his running time of 29.21 seconds was the fastest of all the first-round winners.

Two first-round victors will go muzzle-to-muzzle in Race 10 as #2 TWPA Hope (Loxahatchee Dash – Takebackyourmink, Rader Racing) and #8 Rail Defender (Stealintheshow – Shot At The Nite, Janie Carroll Kennel) meet for the first time. Both have excellent shots at the two-peat, but keep a close eye on the well-positioned #1 JSK Ozona (Atascocita Gray – JSK I Love Lucy, James Douglas Kennel).

Another duo of round-one victors will meet in Race 12 as box-to-wire specialist #7 Racing Wishes (Kiowa Mon Manny – Racing Angel, Lester Raines Kennel) tangles with surprise first-round winner #5 JT’s Blindnspeed (Pat C Sabbath – Julianne Hough, Koppe, Staats & Collins). This very impressive pup shocked racing fans in the first round as he easily passed pre-championship favorite Eyesappealing in their qualifier. Blindnspeed is one entry to keep an eye on as qualifying continues.

And speaking of the devil, the above mentioned hot pup will give it another shot in Race 14 as #8 Eyesappealing (Barcia Bale Goldilocks, Lester Raines) should have no problem making quick work of her competition.

And rounding out the afternoon in Race 15, all eyes will be on the amazing youngster #5 JSK Lubbock (Atascocita Gray – JSK I Love Lucy, B & B Racing). This unbelievable pup ran the race of her career in his first-round win and will be going for his seventh-consecutive career win. Considering his post position and the competition, the streak should continue.

Post time for the first race Saturday afternoon is 1:00 p.m. with gates opening at 11:30 a.m.

The afternoon card will also include a guaranteed $10,000 Pick 4 Jackpot in Races nine through twelve.

The Futurity is named in honor of former PBKC kennel operator, humanitarian and 2004 inductee to the Greyhound Hall of Fame Dick Andrews.
