How to Read a Program

A past performance explanation is shown below. It gives all the essential information possible and is used in studying the records of the Greyhounds. All lines in past performances are taken from the charts of the races and in brief, give a synopsis of the Greyhound’s record.

Wagering Explanation

WIN

The first dog to cross the finish line WINS. If you bet on any dog to win, you collect if your selection finishes first. Minimum Bet: $2.

PLACE

The second dog to cross the finish line PLACES. If you wager on a dog to place, you collect if your dog finishes either 1st OR 2nd. Minimum: $2.

SHOW

The 3rd dog to cross the finish line SHOWS. If you wager on a dog to show, you collect if your dog finishes either 1st, 2nd OR 3rd. Minimum: $2.

DAILY DOUBLE

Pick winner of 1st & 2nd races prior to the start of 1st race. Minimum: $2.

QUINIELA

Quiniela wagering on all races. Select two dogs. You win if your selections finish one, two, IN ANY ORDER. Minimum: $2.

QUINIELA BOX

Select three dogs and if two of your three dogs finish one, two, IN ANY ORDER you win. This is actually three $2 bets. Cost: $6.

QUINIELA WHEEL

Select a dog you feel will finish one or two. You receive this selection with ALL OTHER possibilities. In an eight-dog race this comprises seven $2 bets. Cost: $14.

QUINIELA KEY

Select one dog with two others. You win when your key dog and ONE of the other two finishes first and second. Cost: $4.

• Key 1 dog with 4 others (4 combinations) $ 8
• Key 1 dog with 5 others (5 combinations) $10

PERFECTA

Select dogs to finish 1-2. You win if your selections finish first and second in the EXACT order. Perfecta wagering is available on all races. Minimum: $2.

PERFECTA BOX

Select two or more dogs and if any two finish first or second in any order, you win.

PERFECTA WHEEL

Play a dog first or second with all other possibilities. You win if that dog finishes first or second.

PERFECTA KEY

Select one dog first or second with two or more others. You win when your key dog and one of the other two finishes with it.

QUINIELA DOUBLE

Pick the first two finishers in two consecutive races. Boxes, wheels and key bets available. Minimum: $2.

TRIFECTA

Select three dogs to finish one, two, three. You win when dogs finish in EXACT order you selected. Minimum: $2.

$1 TRIFECTA BOX

Pick three dogs. This wager covers six combinations (using same three dogs) for $1 a piece for $6 total. You win when your selections finish one, two, three IN ANY ORDER. Minimum cost: $6. You collect $1 trifecta price.

$1 TRIFECTA WHEEL

Select a dog you feel is going to win and play it with ALL OTHER possible combinations. You get 42 different combinations for $1 a piece. Cost: $42. NOTE: You may also select a dog for place or show as well as win, but they must finish in -position you selected. You win when your key dog finishes in position you selected. You collect the $1 trifecta price.

$1 TRIFECTA KEY

If you like a dog to win with two others finishing second and third, IN EITHER ORDER. Cost: $1 each or $2. Minimum: $2.

• Key 1 dog with 3 others (6 combinations) $6
• Key 1 dog with 4 others (12 combinations) $12
• Key 1 dog with 5 others (20 combinations) $20

$1 TRIFECTA RUNDOWN

Select two dogs in exact positions and you receive them with remaining 6 combinations for $6.

Example 1-2 all = $6 or 1-all-2 = $6 or all-1-2 = $6.

You collect $1 trifecta price.

TWIN TRIFECTA

Pick first three finishers in first half and exchange the winning ticket for a payoff and exchange ticket with top three finishers in second half. If nobody get both halves, the jackpot will be carried over to the next performance. $1 Straight Boxes, keys and wheels are available.

SUPERFECTA

Select first four finishers in exact order. Minimum: $2.

$1 SUPERFECTA BOX

Pick four dogs. This wager covers 24 combinations (using same four dogs) for $1 each or $24.

• 5-dog box (120 combinations) $120
• 6-dog box (360 combinations) $360

$1 SUPERFECTA KEY

If you like one dog to win with three others finishing second, third and fourth, IN ANY ORDER. Example 1 with 2, 3, 4. Cost $1 a piece, six combinations, or $6 total cost.
